It is known
worlwide by its beauty and its perfect
pyramidal form; it’s the pole of
attraction of the ravine of Cedros. One
long walk of several days is necessary
to get to the base camp. The passage allows
the access to the Safuna Lake at the foot
of the Pucahirca. (6030, 6046, 6014. 6039
m.). This trek is very frequented during
all the season; mountain climbers and
travellers from all over the world meet
here to see this living wonder outdoors.
It is an exceptional ravine because here
the legend of the most beautiful mountain
“The Alpamayo” was born. This
long walk begins in the small town of
Cashapampa passing the thermal springs
of Huancarhuaz and takes three hours to
get to Hualcayan camping (3200 m.) where
our teams of muleteers are waiting to
start the trek along the Cordilllera Blanca.

Day 1: Acclimatization.
Day 2: Huaraz – Cashapampa
– Hualcayan.
Day 3: Hualcayan – Huishcash.
Day 4: Huishcash – Ruina Pampa
– (Oso Ruri).
Day 5: Ruina Pampa – Janca
Rurish (a rest to visit the Base
Camp).
Day 6: Janca Rurish – Huillca.
Day 7: Huillca – Janca Pampa.
Day 8: Janca Pampa – Huecroncocha
(rest).
Day 9: Huencroncocha – Cachinapampa.
Day 10: Cachinapampa – Vaquería
– Huaraz.
