| Santa
cruz – llanganuco » |
|
 |
 |
This trek is
one of the most popular long walks in
the Cordillera Blanca which begins in
the town of Cashapampa (2900 m.). We’ll
pass the valley of Santa Cruz and we’ll
observe the peaks of those ravines (Santa
Cruz, Aguja, Caraz, Quitaraju, Alpamayo,
and Arteson Raju) and at the bottom we’ll
see the Taulliraju next to the Paso Punta
Unión (4750 m.) where both valleys
can be seen as well as the Lakes of Ichic
Cocha, Jatun Cocha, and Taullicocha. Later,
we’ll observe the highest snow-capped
mountains of the Cordillera Blanca (Huascarán,
Huandoy, Chacraraju, Chopicalqui, and
Pisco) and the Lakes of Llanganuco surrounded
by quenuales and other bushes.
